FERNANDO CARRERAS. To get there, we left Cuenca towards Teruel, we passed Carboneras, we continue towards Cañete and we turn off until Landed to take the road to Santa Cruz de Moya. Once in the town we will continue the road that goes towards Aras de los Olmos, in Valencia.

We do not find a walking route from the town to the bridge, so we will continue along the road and what we will do is that cross the bridge towards Valencia As soon as we pass the first curve, we will see a wide area where we can leave the vehicle.

From this point we can go on foot to the bridge itself where we observe the stunning views of the Turia river and we will also see abandoned buildings and a pool or large pond from when the bridge was built.

Yes we will see a small path to the right of the bridge so that we can go down a bit towards the banks of the river to be able to see the viaduct from different points and discover the typical vegetation of Kermes oak, holm oaks, pines and bushes of the highest parts and poplars, ash trees and willows of the lower parts.

The bridge it was built in the second half of the fifties, period coinciding with the so-called Economic Takeoff (1951-1957). It was in his time the highest bridge in Spain and Europe. Its impact on the Rincón de Ademuz was very important since, until its inauguration in the early sixties, to go to Valencia from this area had to do so entering the province of Teruel.

The Santa Cruz de Moya bridge over the Turia is formed by an iron arch with four trusses joined together with a concrete formwork. Its original railings were replaced years ago by other metal ones that later They were painted green by volunteer neighbors on the occasion of the passing of the Vuelta Ciclista de España in 2017.
