Immunization Clinics in High Point and Greensboro for Seventh and Twelfth Grade Students

High Point.- The return to school is approaching and so that children are up to date with their vaccinations, in High Point and Greensboro there are vaccination days for students entering seventh and twelfth grade.

The Guilford County Division of Public Health announced additional immunization clinic dates for students to receive the required doses.

Immunizations for seventh and twelfth grade

Under North Carolina law, children entering seventh grade must receive two vaccines: One is TDAP, which fights diseases such as tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis.

The second is MCV, a formula against meningococcus and this vaccine must also be received by students entering twelfth grade, before the start of the school year.

Children entering a North Carolina school for the first time, regardless of grade level, must also be up-to-date with their immunizations.

Location of the clinics

These immunization clinics will be held at Guilford County Division of Public Health facilities, located at two locations:

High Point: 501 East Green Drive, High Point, NC 27260.

Greensboro: 1100 East Wendover Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405.

Times and dates

To schedule appointments and expedite the process, parents can call (336) 641-3245.

The requirements that parents and guardians must bring to appointments are the health insurance card and immunization records of their children.

Students may attend these vaccination clinics at the following times:

Monday, August 21 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 23 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Tuesday, August 29 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 30 from 4:00 PM PM to 6:00 PM Thursday, August 31 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Remember that these vaccines are required to enter public schools in North Carolina.
