The Super Mario Bros. promotional images have been leaked. Online, along with new details about the film and a new trailer due out later today.
The apparent leak, which was posted on 4chan before being shared on Twitter, includes various promotional images showcasing characters and parts of the film, which can be seen below.
This includes what appears to be the main “hero” image being used as part of a poster showing Mario, Peach, Luigi, Bowser, and Toad in various poses.
It also includes an image of Mario and Luigi in the real world, with a street sign that reads “Brooklyn”, alluding to the return of some old Mario stories from the 80s and 90s.
Escape also includes individual promotional images of the film’s heroes, each with its own logo. Mario’s photo says “Plumber is our sport”, for example Peach says “He can do it all”.
According to Twitter user dfffaz01, who shared the image, the apparent 4chan leak also includes a brief synopsis of the film’s story.
It reads: “The film tells the story of two Brooklyn plumbers who are brothers and best friends: Mario, a reckless behavior, and Luigi, a perpetually curious person who doesn’t want to go anywhere.”
He adds: “The Super Mario Brothers find their pipes malfunctioning and embark on a whirlwind adventure through the Mushroom Kingdom. Along their journey, we meet familiar and beloved characters and eventually unite to defeat the power-hungry villain Bowser.
It seems that the leak is real and we won’t have to wait long for an official confirmation. New The Nintendo Direct is dedicated to the Super Mario Bros. It will be released later today and will include the second trailer for the film.
The The first trailer of the film It gave fans their first chance to hear Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario. A teaser image released on Monday suggests the second trailer could feature Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach.
The Super Mario Bros. movie is about to come out. In North America on April 7, 2023.
