IKEA and Sonos launched their first collaborations in The SYMFONISK series three years ago, and now the family gets a new addition, in the form of a floor lamp, more precisely the SYMFONISK floor lamp diffuser.
You want to make decorating with sound easier
Like the rest of the SYMFONISK series, the floor lamp speaker is designed to make the most of people’s living space by combining light and sound in the same product.
The speaker of the SYMFONISK floor lamp comes with a bamboo lampshade, but it can also be customized with different lampshades sold separately.
I learned a lot about how people want to decorate with light and sound. We also know that many people want different light sources at different levels and in different parts of the room to create the right mood. The challenge of not having a good place to put the lamp led us to create a floor lamp, says Stjepan Begic, Range Design Leader at IKEA.
The lamp speaker can also be coupled in stereo pairs and double as rear speakers in a larger Sonos home theater setup. The speaker can be added to the Sonos app, the IKEA Home smart app and controlled together with other smart home devices via IKEA Dirigera.
Price and availability
The new SYMFONISK floor lamp with speaker will be available in all IKEA department stores and online shops from January 2023. The price is set at SEK 2,195.
