Newcastle United reportedly interested in signing four players Manchester United. With these four players, what do you think Newcastle’s formation will look like?
Along with the entry of a new owner, Newcastle is already predicted to make a breakthrough through shopping for fishing rods in January.
That’s okay, the new owners of the Magpies are a consortium led by Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman. No doubt Newcastle has been predicted to be full of money.
In the midst of a list of top players who have been linked with Newcastle, interestingly there are four players from Man United. Reportedly, Toon Army square off to hook the four players at once!
The four players are Jesse Lingard, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Martial, and Eric Bailly. The four relatively have not performed routinely or are still marginalized at all.
Lingard, who was in excellent form last season and became the main player while on loan at West Ham United, now has to compete with other players in his position. Meanwhile, Donny van de Beek doesn’t seem to have earned the trust of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get more playing minutes since being brought in from Ajax last year.
The tight competition for positions in the MU offensive line also makes Martial relatively marginalized. The same thing was experienced by Bailly, whose place of defense was increasingly displaced by the arrival of Raphael Varane.
Refers to Mirror, Burnley defender James Tarkowski is currently also said to be one of Newcastle United’s initial recruits in the new era. If so, here’s a potential Toon Army formation with the squad they currently have, plus Tarkowski and four MU players. Not including if there are other stars who are also recruited!
