Shapps stressed in an interview with Times Radio that the authorities will not make exceptions: “The simple answer to the question of whether Italian fans should try to get to London is no. If we find out that someone only came to football, we won’t even let them into the country. Therefore, several flights have already been canceled. “
The final between England and Italy will take place on Sunday at Wembley. Authorities allowed 60,000 spectators to visit. However, according to The Guardian, there are several hundred Italians among them.
Following an agreement with the British government, the local football federation FIGC released a thousand tickets for 610 euros. However, strict measures are part of the conditions. Supporters must arrive on Sunday and leave the UK the same day after the match, during their stay they will be in a “bubble”.
In addition to “regular” fans, VIP visitors are also considered. They are allowed to spend a whole week in London, but outside of UEFA-themed events they have to stay in designated hotels.
