With four stages remaining in the season, Lewis Hamilton leads the World Championship, 85 points ahead of Valtteri Bottas. Only they had a chance for a champion title – and Lewis can win it in two weeks in Istanbul.
If Valtteri wins all the remaining races – and has the best lap in all, he will score 301 points. Lewis already has 282 points, it is enough for him to finish seventh in the remaining races to win the seventh title regardless of the results of Valtteri.
To win the title early in Turkey, it is enough for Lewis to win the race, then with any results Valtteri he will remain ahead at the end of the season. Bottas, in order to remain among the contenders for the title, needs to win back at least seven points from Hamilton in Istanbul.
