– If we are to have production in Norway, then Vedum must act now

During the pandemic, Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) and SP leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum paid tribute to the mask manufacturer Innovern. Now the company is losing against China and is threatened with bankruptcy.

Finance Minister Trygve Slagsvold Vedum recently said in an interview with Aftenposten that defence, police, food and health preparedness must be prioritized higher:

– The corona taught us that we were too vulnerable and lacked medicines and masks. Going forward, we will have to spend more money on larger warehouses for medicine and equipment, he said.
