Governor Arif Muhammad Khan has challenged the Prime Minister to step down if he cannot prove that he has taken political office in the Raj Bhavan. The governor also warned that if the prime minister’s office is involved in gold smuggling, cases and wrong appointments, he will intervene. The time has been extended until the 7th of this month to give an explanation to the vice chancellors. Arif Muhammad Khan also said that the withdrawal of the favor from Finance Minister KN Balagopal was in accordance with the constitution.
