This week folk singer René Froger was allowed to play the game with fan An. It is their job to separate the wheat from the chaff, musically. Unfortunately, their judgment was not so good, because the two eliminated one after the other fantastic singer(ess). It was therefore exciting until the very last moment, because so many nightingales had already been voted out that no one dared to dream of a good outcome.
Presenter Carlo Boszhard knows better than anyone how to build up the tension: “Miss Sunshine is here, René is here. I want to wish you a lot of success. (…) The question is, therefore, whether the sun in the house it will also sing beautifully. Miss Sunshine, I look at your beautiful face and I say, ‘I can see your voice.'”

It then appears that René is singing a duet with the 34-year-old Edyurika: she does not have a golden throat at all. But luckily she manages to put a smile on the faces of the jury panel (Edsilia Rombley, Danny de Munk, Marieke Elsinga and Fred van Leer). During the duet we learn that Edyurika is a surgical assistant in daily life and loves Latin music.
And although the final song with René went into the soup musically, the two still managed to make a party of it. With the 5000 euros that the ‘Miss Sunshine’ won, she would like to make another trip to Cuba. “I’m sorry An, I’m very sorry, but you were able to sit next to René all evening”, he then concludes in a positive tone.
