The EC-KAC celebrated a clear 9: 4 away win at EC Red Bull Salzburg in the top game of the ICE Juniors League and increased their lead over the Red Bulls in the table to 16 points. Third place in the table, Vienna Capitals Silver, prevailed in their two games last week. In the HUN Top-4 group, MAC Budapest and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 are still tied at the top of the table.
Table leaders EC-KAC and the table runner-up, EC Red Bull Salzburg, met on Saturday for the top game of the ICE Juniors League. The front runner from Klagenfurt clearly won 9: 4 at the Red Bulls. After 24 minutes of play, the Klagenfurters were already 4-0 in the lead. Jakob Lippitsch was the man of the game with three goals. With a total of 25 goals, the 16-year-old is the top scorer in the league. For the KAC it was the 19th victory in the 20th game of the season. The lead in the table over the runner-up, EC Red Bull Salzburg, is already 16 points.
Third place is followed by the Vienna Capitals Silver, who both won their away games last week. At VEU Feldkirch, the federal capitals achieved a 5: 2 success. The next day they prevailed at HC TWK Innsbruck ‘Die Haie’ 5: 3. Innsbruck also lost their second game of the week against Okanagan Hockey Club Europe 7-4. Okanagan, on the other hand, had to admit defeat 8: 2 in his second outing at the Styrian Ice Hockey Academy.
MAC Budapest and Fehérvár remain in step at the top
In the HUN Top-4 group, MAC Budapest and Hydro Fehérvár AV19 are still tied at the top of the table. While Fehérvár had no problems in the clear 9: 3 away win at MAC Budapest, MAC Budapest struggled to a 7: 5 home win against Vasas SC. The guests were already 5-0 in the front after 24 minutes of play. As a result, the league leaders turned up and scored all seven goals within 24 minutes of play. This week, on Thursday, there will be the top game between Fehérvár and MAC Budapest.
The top duo also celebrated victories in the HUN Bottom-4 group. League leaders Debreceni Hoki Club beat Hokiklub Budapest by a clear 7-1. DVTK Jegesmedvek Miskolce, who are three points behind in the table, but also played one game less, were successful with 5: 3. Here, too, there will be a top game first against second on Saturday this week.
