Now it’s clear which club he’s going to: In the new NHL season, he’ll be on the ice for the San Jose Sharks. The club announced this on its website on Thursday. Accordingly, Nico Sturm will receive a three-year contract. Further details about the contract were not disclosed.
San Jose Sharks boss Mike Grier is quoted as saying: “Nico is a big and strong forward. He’s shown consistency and rushing forward – and he’s helped Colorado win the Stanley Cup to win.”
Nico Sturm is coming to Augsburg with the Stanley Cup on July 23
Nico Sturm initially did not comment publicly on his move to California. It is possible that he will do so next week at the latest when he is in his hometown Augsburg guested.
On July 23, the NHL champion comes to Augsburg with the Stanley Cup. The trophy will then be on display at the Curt Frenzel Stadium, Rathausplatz and Rathaus and Nico Sturm will be a guest at a reception. (THE)
