Son Heung-min he declared himself ready to appear World Cup 2022 together South Korea. He did not want to miss this tournament even though he is currently recovering from an injury.
The son is known to have fractured near his left eye while defending himself Tottenham Hotspur against Marseille in the Champions League last week. He too had to undergo surgery due to the injury.
He had raised concerns that the 30-year-old would miss Qatar. Also, time is tight. The 2022 World Cup will begin on November 20, and South Korea will play their first match against Uruguay four days later.
But last season’s Premier League top scorer announced via social media that he would be fit for the 2022 World Cup. Recovering from an injury near his eye will not interfere with pre-departure preparations.

“Playing for your country at the World Cup is a dream for many children as children, just like me. I’ll be there. I can’t wait to defend this beautiful country until we meet,” Son wrote.
Son is South Korea’s mainstay in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers in the Asian zone. The Taegeuk Warriors qualified for Qatar after finishing second in Group A in the third round, collecting 23 points from 10 games, two points behind Iran who won the group.
Currently, Son is also the top scorer among the South Korean national team players still active. He has scored 35 goals in 104 games, the fourth in the history of the ginseng country.
