I sent a text to 41444 with the phrase H4H: Telemundo 52 and NBC4’s annual “Help for the Hungry” campaign begins to support the fight against hunger

Telemundo 52 and NBC4’s “Help For The Hungry” campaign returns from November 20 to December 31 in order to support local food banks and help provide millions of meals to families in need in Southern California. Viewers can join the campaign and donate any amount by sending a text message to 41444 with the phrase H4H or when paying in supermarkets Ralphs y Food 4 Less. A QR code will also appear on screen during newscasts to give viewers another option to donate.

One hundred percent of donations will go directly to regional food banks and local pantries including Los Angeles Food Bank, Second Harvest Orange County, Feeding America Inland Empire, Food Share Ventura Countyy Foodbank of Southern California.

The stations also partnered with the nonprofit Eastmont Community Center to offer a food delivery on Friday December 15 from 10 am to 1 pm (while supplies last, they will be delivered on a first-come, first-serve basis) located at 701 Hoefner Avenue, Los Angeles, CA. The event has the support of Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, Goya Foods, Ralphs, Food 4 Less among others who will be present to help distribute food.

Since 2018, the campaign has raised more than $2.5 million in donations and provided more than $10 million in food across Southern California.

Throughout the campaign, both stations will cover stories about food insecurity in Southern California. On Telemundo 52, stay tuned to the morning news, Noticiero Telemundo 52 at 5 AM and 6 AM, Noticiero Telemundo 52 at noon and the newscasts at 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm and Acceso Total a 11:30 a.m. Tune into NBC4 for reporting on “Today in LA” from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m., and on the news at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 11 p.m

Viewers can also watch stories on digital platforms, including the Telemundo 52 and NBC4 mobile apps and on streaming platforms Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung TV Plus. NBC4 also has a dedicated news channel on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service.
