“I never thought we’d be together so short”

In June, Sigita said that she and her husband hope that everything will be fine for their daughter, and they are making every effort to provide her with the best possible treatment and rehabilitation.

However, at the end of July, the woman received a new stroke of fate: she and her daughter were suddenly left alone, because her husband David died on July 25. died suddenly.

The woman reported this on Facebook and agreed to share this sensitive post with Lrytas.lt readers.

Sigita wrote: “We lost Yara’s father…

We got the answer that my Dave had a heart attack. I checked his heart rate on his smart watch this morning and for the last couple of months his heart hasn’t been beating, it’s just been racing… If you knew him, we would never have heard of his complaint, and maybe he didn’t feel anything himself. Well, we all look at how many steps we’ve taken, not how fast our heart beats…

The urn will be in hall 3 of the funeral home, Latvių 13, Joniškis, from Friday afternoon. At the send-off on Saturday (July 30), at 1 p.m., I chose a place for him in Kriukų mst. in the cemetery.

(…)

I want to thank everyone who sends condolences, who are around and knew my husband. He was one of those who touched everyone’s hearts and warmed them with his courtesy, good humor, hugs and kisses. I never thought that we would spend only eleven and a half years together…

Yara and I will have to learn to live differently. It’s completely different…”

Beautiful memories remained

As we already wrote, Sigita lived in England for eighteen years, where she met her future husband David eleven years ago. They met at the pool – he, who used to work as a diver, used to come to swim, and she worked in the field of nursing and accompanied a disabled patient there.

At first, they just chatted, then they became closer. And soon they started living together, because both were dissatisfied with the rented housing they were living in at the time. “We rented an apartment without furniture, so at first we ate sitting on the floor, and we still felt great – then I thought about how little a person needs,” recalled Sigita.

The couple got married six years ago, and after a few more years and a lot of trouble, they had their dream child – daughter Yara.

The name for the daughter was chosen by her father, and this story is very interesting. Working as a diver in his youth, David took part in various filming and interesting projects. He once went to the Amazon jungle for a year with a BBC television crew, filmed wild animals and interacted with the local tribe. Her commander’s son was wounded, and David helped him heal.

After that, the chief of the tribe wanted to give his daughter in marriage to him as a thank you. The man politely refused anyway. However, he had to make a promise that when he had a daughter, he would have to name her after Yara.

“I heard this story from my husband only when I was expecting and asked him what name he would like to give his daughter. I liked the name, so I didn’t mind,” said Sigita.

True, the woman could not publish her husband’s photos, because he later changed his job as a diver to work in the diplomatic police and had to avoid publicity.

When David took early official retirement, the family moved to Sigita’s hometown in Joniškis district, where they hoped to start a new life. In mid-July, they celebrated their daughter’s christening on their wedding anniversary, and a couple of weeks later, her husband was gone.
