The legendary domestic group “The Hobos” was founded in January 1999. The original four members of “The Hobos” are from Liepāja, but the group started its career in Riga with a concert at the “Ai Karamba” cafe, which allowed the group to perform without paying for it.

The otter’s wife, Ilona Balode-Údre, still takes care of the men in her life – Roland and their two sons, Bartas – every day.

She previously said that after her husband’s accident, she experienced a whole range of emotions – from denial and disbelief that something like this could happen, to joy that Údritis is alive and able to be with him.

“You know what helps me in situations like this? The fact that you understand – it can always be worse,” says Ilona and boldly emphasizes that she has never regretted the decision to be with Údriti, because only when all three of them are together does she feel happy and filled.
