Barcelona Signs 4 New Players Except Kunde for First Match

Barcelona finally able to register a number of new players ahead of the first week LaLiga. One player still has to wait, that is Jules Kounde.

Barcelona was threatened not to be able to play his new players in the inaugural match of the season against Rayo Vallecano at Camp Nou, Sunday (14/8/2022) early morning WIB. The financial crisis that has been wracked since the leadership of Josep Maria Bartomeu has made Barcelona dizzy. After losing a number of key players including Lionel Messi, Barca improved and cut player salaries.

The cuts were not enough to escape the crisis, considering that the COVID-19 pandemic also dealt another blow. Barcelona president Joan Laporta then revealed a strategy known as the economic lever to escape financial problems.

In addition to continuing to cut player salaries, Barcelona also sold a number of assets. In total they have relinquished 25% of television rights to American companies Sixth Street in the first and second economy levers, and 49% ownership of Barca Studios in the third and fourth economy levers.

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez has previously expressed his optimism that new players can be registered ahead of the match against Rayo Vallecano.

“The club is very positive. We have just announced the fourth economic lever and we are sure tomorrow it will be arranged. Maybe not 100%, but we’ll see,” he was quoted as saying. BBC.
