Federer, undecided about the Dubai tournament.
One of the record-holder 20 Grand Slam titles, Roger Federer, quickly overcame his quarter-final loss in Doha to Nikoloz Basilashvili. The Swiss then went to the Qatar tournament, without having too many expectations, however.
Federer, who returned to competition this week after a 14-month hiatus, suffered a surprise loss on Thursday as he lost to Basilashvili by 3-6, 6-1 7-5. Federer won the only break of the first set in the fourth game, before serving for the first set in the ninth game.
But Basilashvili came back in force to win the second set, breaking Federer twice to force a decision maker.…
