Two days after his cruciate ligament rupture at the Ski World Cup Slalom in Chamonix, Marc Digruber is already looking positively into the future. Digruber was still on Sunday by ÖSV doctor Dr. Christian Fink operates in Hochrum. A day later, he spoke about the course of the operation, the course of the injury and his other goals.

How are you the day after the surgery?

“So far so good. The operation went well and the physiotherapy is already in progress. The pain is all right and the care here in Hochrum is great, I cannot complain. Depending on the circumstances, I’m fine. “

Did you notice right away that the injury is something gross?

“Yes, even while driving. During this swing I noticed that the knee is giving way. The knee was already broken during the rescue operation to the next goal and it looked a little wild. ”

You still had the great will to finish, right?

“At the start, I made a decision that I simply take full risks to the finish and get everything out. Unfortunately, it did not work out completely. I still made it to the finish (laughs). “

What is your future plan? What are your goals?

“I want to go home to my family in the next few days. After that we will plan what the rehab and therapy will look like in the next few weeks. The comeback is the big goal. I don’t want to stop like this! “
