I don’t think so! Not Avanza-Xpander, This is the King of Indonesian Cars

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The best-selling car competition in early 2022 has started to heat up. Uniquely, the name that occupies the first place does not come from the Toyota Avanza, Mitsubishi Xpander to Honda Brio lineup, but comes from the pick-up type.

Throughout January 2022, the best-selling car was the Suzuki Carry PU with wholesale or factory sales of 5,372 units. This figure is 90 units higher than the second rank occupied by Mitsubishi Xpander with sales of 5,282 units.

The surprise came after the Daihatsu Sigra managed to occupy the third position of the best-selling car in January 2022. The Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) managed to sell 5,130 units, up from 3,566 units sold in the previous month.

Avanza’s brother, the Veloz, is in fourth place with 4,777 units, while the Honda Brio, which is the best-selling car in Indonesia throughout 2020, only ranks fifth with 4,489 units.

Meanwhile, the Toyota Avanza had to get out of the top 10 and only ranked 12th with sales of 3,188 units.
