Roger Milla took the Indomitable Lions to the quarterfinals of the 1990 World Cup, the first time for an African country. The former scorer of Tonnerre de Yaoundé will forever remain a hero of the fabulous epic of 1990.
As for Samuel Eto’o, he is the top scorer in the history of CAN and the Cameroonian selection. He also won two CANs and an Olympic gold medal with Cameroon.
Responding to a question from a reporter, the oldest goalscorer (42) in World Cup history said that he and Samuel Eto’o are unique players in Cameroon.

” I do not know at all. There is not really a player standing out from the crowd right now and it may be better that way. It will allow us to be really focused on the collective. I don’t see any player with my qualities right now. Samuel Eto’o has also achieved great things. We are unique players and no one will be like us. We can just hope that Cameroon will shine in the future ”,he said in an interview with FIFA.
