Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman admit you didn’t think Idayati is the younger brother of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Anwar told about Idayati’s simplicity when they first met in October 2021. According to him, Idayati’s figure did not reflect a member of the presidential family.

“I didn’t think he was the younger brother of the president. He drives himself everywhere. Even eating in restaurants is normal. In other words, he is a true Pancasilais,” said Anwar in a public lecture broadcast on the Indonesian Constitutional Court’s YouTube channel, Friday (3/3). /6).

Anwar also talked about Idayati’s religious figure in everyday life. He admits that he has always been awakened for the Fajr prayer since he was officially married.

On that occasion, Anwar also responded to criticism about his marriage to political Idayati. He called the criticism slander.

“There are those who accuse me of marrying him with a political marriage. Well? I’m not a political party, a political party. What am I looking for? I sometimes say, ‘Well, what for? ‘,” he said.

“Don’t be surprised, the world of justice is full of slander, full of insults. The more insults, slander, for myself, the more God willing, the reward for me,” added Anwar.

Anwar Usman married Idayati at Graha Saba Buana, Solo, Thursday (26/5), last week.

The marriage was widely criticized for potentially triggering a conflict of interest. In fact, Anwar was asked to step down from his position as Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court after the marriage.
