Hussein Labib, the candidate for the presidency of the Zamalek Club in the upcoming board elections, spoke about many of the matters that he intends to resolve, after the elections that will be held on the 20th of next October.
In television statements, Labib first touched on the crisis of the financial fine for Mahmoud Abdel Moneim “Kahraba”, the Al-Ahly player, saying: “Kahraba’s fine is $2 million, in addition to the interest of the fine, and we will not agree to installments. The amount is fully needed by Zamalek as soon as possible.”
He explained that he would not compromise on the rights of the White Castle, in the crisis of the Al-Ahly player, and his goal was to obtain the full amount with interest.
He continued: “The club’s football file will be managed by the duo, Ahmed Suleiman and Hussein Al-Sayed, provided that there will be an engineering and construction committee headed by engineer Hisham Nasr, to develop buildings and construction.”
Debt crisis
Regarding the debt crisis that always troubles the White Club, Labib pointed out: “The Zamalek Club has a lot of debts like the rest of the clubs. The debts are represented by the IRS and the number has reached one billion and 400 million, and the Tripartite Committee is making a great effort with taxes, and it is possible that they will be reduced and rescheduled.”
He added: “There are other debts, such as: international fines, and many people are asked for their money every day.”
He continued: “If God grants us success, we have a vision to solve the financial crisis. We will not pay with our personal money. The club is richer than us and has very large financial resources, but they were being used poorly.”
He explained: “The players’ contracts must be rewritten. The contracts of Zamalek players are much larger than the contracts of Al-Ahly players in all games, and I trust my words 200%, but the club was not paying this money.”
He concluded: “I reassure the Zamalek fans that if God blesses us and we join the club, I am an athlete who is accustomed to winning. The atmosphere will be created for the players to achieve victory.”
