Husband Caught Mutilating Wife in Doloksanggul After Witness Saw Perpetrator Carrying Sack, Finding It Contains Body Parts

HUMBANG HASUNDUTAN, KOMPAS.com – Harapan Munthe (44) was arrested after killing and maiming his wife, Nurmaya Situmorang (43), at their home in Pasaribu village, Doloksanggul district, Humbang Hasundutan regency, North Sumatra, on Saturday (12/11/2022 ).

Kapolres Humbang Hasundutan AKBP Achmad Muhaimin through Kasi Humas Aipda SB Lolo Bako said the murder was revealed starting from the testimony of a witness who is the son of Harapan Munthe’s sister-in-law Samaria Sinambela (51) who saw the perpetrator go behind the house carrying a sack and then burning it.

Feeling suspicious, the witness then went to check behind the house and found two pieces of human feet.

“And then the witness reported the incident to the Humbahas police. Then the police came down to investigate the crime scene,” Lolo Bako said.

At the scene, police found the victim’s body parts separated.

Lolo said that after killing the victim, Harapan had visited the witness and told him that he had killed Nurmaya.
