Several hundred tractor drivers drove up to an improvised drive-in snack bar in Hechthausen in the Cuxhaven district this weekend. He had more than 450 registrations, said organizer Thorsten Golsch from Golsch restaurant. Even the cold snowy weather is not an obstacle, on the contrary: “The farmers have time.”
The restaurant owner Golsch is organizing the drive-in for tractors for the second time. He also tries to help himself over the Corona closing time with whole dinners that are served in the motorhome.

The menu for the tractor crews on Saturday and Sunday includes burgers and beef bratwurst. The ordered food is served from a platform into the tractor cab, said Golsch. For the women on the tractors, there is a rose for Valentine’s weekend.
Because you have to keep your distance in the corona pandemic, many events have been revived or developed that you can participate in in your own vehicle. This ranges from drive-in cinema to drive-in church services to graduation parties and party conferences.
