The controversial Corona skeptic Bodo Schiffmann has been touring the country for four weeks. 350 people wanted to see him in Freiburg – almost all of them without a mask. The police were laughed at.
At 10.30 a.m., when Schiffmann is still on the autobahn, the first people have gathered on the square. It is easy to recognize who has come because of the well-known critic of the Corona policy: almost all of the participants in the rally do not wear masks, you give each other a big hug and hug. The police do it with warning announcements.
On the west side, twenty counter-demonstrators gather around old town councilor Sebastian Mller. “Liar doctor” says one of their posters. “Schiffmann and Co. consciously put a lot of untruths into the world,” says Mller. In addition, the scene of the Corona opponents is heavily permeated by people of the right mind.
When the police warned them to wear masks, they got laughter, then the announcement was drowned out by the cheers of the 350 people present when the black nightliner turned onto the square. The door opens and the quartet emerges, which unites several of the eloquent front men of the current Corona skeptic scene – and thus demagogues and conspiracy theorists, as critics say.

There is Bodo Schiffmann, doctor, operator of a special outpatient clinic in Sinsheim and co-founder of the “Resistance2020” party, which, however, quickly disintegrated. Then lawyer Ralf Ludwig, a spokesman and legal supporter of the “lateral thinking” movement. Samuel Eckert, who, as a Free Church member, brings in religious aspects and finally the IT specialist Wolfgang Greulich from Gppingen, who gives the Swabian entrepreneur.

Schiffmann tells stories about children who allegedly died as a result of the corona measures and claims that the lawyers have now woken up: “The number of judgments against these – contrary to the constitution – rules is increasing.” Lawyer Ralf Ludwig involves the police in his game with the audience, which randomly records the personal details of mask refusers. Most of the maskless show when Ludwig asked that they had a certificate – the counter-demonstration shouts through the megaphone that it is doubtful. The police did not show any attempts to dissolve the event.
Corona critic Samuel Eckert advises viewers, like Gandhi and Jesus, to stay non-violent. “Arm yourself with information.” Wolfgang Greulich says you have to choose differently – then you would finally get a different system here. “We understood Merkel’s perfidious plan,” says Ralf Ludwig with the approval of the audience. There is no explanation.
The police are satisfied with the way things went in the end, Bodo Schiffmann with the encouragement: “Quite remarkable for such a short notice.” After the guest performance in Freiburg, the controversial roadshow moves on to Lindau.
