Tonight at 8:00 PM we will celebrate the kick-off of Chapter 5 in Fortnite. This celebration will be attended live by Eminem, who will have to perform in the game. However, many gamers are unable to get into the game.
The start of a new season in Fortnite always has a lot of hype and the servers are often overloaded, meaning players often have to wait a few minutes before they can start.
Tonight, however, the wait seems exceptionally long. Millions of players around the world are probably glued to their consoles to celebrate the kick-off and the Fortnite developers don’t seem to be able to handle that well. Within the XBNL community we hear messages with waiting times of more than 60 minutes. Whether it will be possible to see Eminem in action is uncertain. We currently do not know what capabilities Epic Games has to rapidly expand its servers (pun intended). One would expect that they would be used to something at Epic.
