American Samoa
The National Weather Service, the American counterpart of the KNMI, has issued a tsunami warning for American Samoa. People are being called upon to flee to higher parts of the island.

A tsunami warning has also been issued in New Zealand. Strong currents are expected on the North Island, the National Emergency Management Agency reports.
