Other Nayarit municipalities where the eclipse will be observed at between 98 and 99 percent are Huajicori, Acaponeta and Tecuala, adjacent to Sinaloa and Durango. Tent houses have been installed on Novilleros beach and there is already a high influx in hotels.
This beach is characterized by its golden sands and calm waves. You can even walk up to 100 meters out to sea, since there are no slopes and the depth is one and a half meters, in addition to being a clear area.
Georgina Ocampo, president of the Southern Nayarit Hotel Association, explained that in that area the influx of visitors to observe the eclipse is high. It is expected that there will be between 80 and 90 percent occupancy, especially in Tecuala.
He stressed that in the entity there was not as much dissemination about this phenomenon as in Sinaloa.
In addition, throughout this Monday various activities will be carried out at the Interactive Museum of Science and Innovation of Tepic, as well as the transmission of the eclipse by the Autonomous University of Nayarit, in which the astronomical phenomenon can be observed through telescopes with certified filters and lenses. There will also be workshops on creating a camera obscura and nebulae, assembling the Sun-Moon-Earth system, astronomical lottery, nebulae and constellations.
In the entity the eclipse will begin at 9:51 a.m. and the total phase will occur at 11:07; will last 4 minutes and 15 seconds. Acaponeta and Tecuala will be the ones with the greatest darkening.
