The first edition of the “Morocco Data Center Summit 2024” took place in Casablanca on Thursday March 7, organized by Huawei. The event brought together technical experts and important figures from the data center field in Morocco to discuss current trends, share Huawei innovations and examine solutions for a more sustainable digital future.
During his speech, Jad Zhao, Managing Director of Huawei Digital Power Maroc, highlighted the rapid growth of the data center industry, driven by decarbonization, digitalization and artificial intelligence that are redefining society. He expressed Huawei’s commitment to building intelligent data centers and promoting sustainable development by collaborating with market players to address present and future challenges.
Mr. Zhao also mentioned that the aim of the summit was to highlight Huawei’s expertise in the data center sector and highlight the importance of Huawei’s local partner ecosystem.
Faouz Boutaleb Joutei, Director of Data Center at Huawei Morocco, said the event aimed to present data center activity in Morocco, the challenges faced by customers and explore ways to improve energy efficiency.
