JawaPos.com – Huawei officially launched the latest series of gadgets that are part of its smart office (27/7). The launch was carried out through the Huawei APAC Smart Office Launch 2022 event at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand.
One of the products introduced and sold in Indonesia is Huawei’s latest laptop series, the MateBook D16. Laptops that play at this entry level are embedded with various interesting features and are still rare in their class.
Looking at its shape, the MateBook D16 has a design with a lightweight metal material coated in an elegant Mystic Silver color, with a thickness of 18mm. Premium sensation for MateBook D16 users.
Speaking of metal, perhaps synonymous with the impression of weight. Despite measuring 16 inches, Huawei created the MateBook D16 only weighing 1.7 kilograms (1.7kg), equivalent to a 15-inch laptop.
It uses a 16-inch IPS LCD screen with a golden aspect ratio of 16:10, a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90 percent, and 4.6mm ultra-narrow bezels. This makes the perspective look wider and the image looks more detailed.
The MateBook D16’s screen has a 1920x1200p resolution and 100 percent sRGB wide color gamut, delighting the eye with flicker-free DC dimming. This laptop screen has been certified by TÜV Rheinland Hardware Blue Light so that the eyes are protected from exposure to blue light.
It is equipped with 12th Generation Intel i5 and i7 processors H series, and has 16GB of RAM and a 512GB NVMe PCIe SSD. When compared to its predecessor, the performance of this processor is 3.5x better with 14 cores, 2.25x faster with 20 threads, and 1.97x more reliable with multi-core performance.
Huawei guarantees that this laptop only takes 2 seconds to open a 2GB PowerPoint file, 6 seconds to process 1 million lines of Excel formula calculations, 56 seconds to process 350,000 lines of coding compilation.
In terms of graphics, the MateBook D16 also gets the best graphics card from Intel, which is installed with Intel UHD Graphics, while the i7 series will have Intel Iris XE installed.
Huawei also provides smart conference capacity. This capacity is divided into the camera and audio. Camera-wise, this laptop has an AI Camera webcam with 1080p resolution which also supports 88° wide-angle shooting which allows more subjects in the frame during video conferencing.
Supports third-party video conferencing applications, such as the FollowCam feature: the laptop camera will keep the subject centered, and maintain that position wherever the subject moves. Then the Virtual Background feature: MateBook D16’s standalone Body Segmentation technology automatically smoothes the background during video conferencing.
There is also an Eye Contact feature: AI Sightline Correction technology corrects the direction of the subject’s eye gaze so that the subject looks at the other person’s eyes and still looks natural.
