Here are his tips for preparing the ground mentally and materially with the child:

  • Take a break between school and homework
  • Establish a calm working environment
  • Let the child choose his preferred position to work: sitting, lying, standing, running
  • Help him to walk towards: “what is it to learn? why learn? ” (because an order can create tension)
  • Do not impose, constrain: teenagers need to assert themselves, position themselves, know themselves (The Secret of the Child)

Methodological advice to help him work effectively on a daily basis:

  • get organized during the week by ANTICIPATING: do a retro-planning of homework
  • View videos and interactive exercises on the web at Learning Apps or textbooks on the school book. It’s free !
  • make their own individual files and / or mind maps

And finally, exercises to work the memory to really learn (and no longer repeat like a parrot)

  • memorizations repeated at different times
  • memory by hand, body, places
  • help them find their strengths to build on them but maintain other memories
  • flash-cards
