If you want to edit a message, you have up to fifteen minutes after sending it. If a message has been edited, the label “edited” will be next to it, so that recipients know that the message has been edited. They won’t be able to see what exactly has changed.
WhatsApp is not the first messaging service to let users edit sent messages. Earlier, Apple made that possible with iMessage. Competitors such as Telegram, Signal and Slack have also had this option for some time. There is a paying member feature on Twitter.
