The amount of monthly income required for normal living has decreased on average by almost 130 euros during the year, according to the survey data conducted by the research agency SKDS.
In a survey conducted in July this year, residents were asked to rate how much they should earn per month in order to live a normal life. The survey revealed that for normal living, residents would like to earn an average of 1,338 euros per month. During the year, this indicator has decreased by almost 130 euros.
The highest figure so far was recorded last year, when people would like to earn an average of 1466 euros per month for a normal life. The most modest wishes were recorded in 2000, when on average the residents wanted to earn 494 euros per month. After that, the desired monthly income level has increased, reaching 1146 euros in 2008. However, during and after the economic crisis, the amount of money needed for a normal life has shrunk for four years in a row.
Since 2014, when the amount of monthly income required for normal living reached 1,055 euros, this indicator has not dropped below 1,000 euros.
