Forrest Gump is an undisputed masterpiece of modern cinematography. It cannot be hidden that Robert Zemeckis thanks to this film has earned himself a fame as a great director, but also the leading actor himself, Tom Hanks, can not complain in any way. It was 1994 when the director Robert Zemeckis presented for the first time in the world the representation of the book by Wiston Groom. The story is about a young boy, named Forrest Gump (played by Tom Hanks), who must make his way in a very particular and complicated society. In fact, the whole sets up as a long flashback in which the Forrest of the future tells of his childhood.
We are located in Alabama, in the town of Greenbow, where little Forrest lives with his mother. He’s not a guy like everyone else, but he has some posture disorders it’s a mild cognitive retardation which lead him to be different from his peers and, as often happens, the object of ridicule and derision. Unlike his cognitive problems, which will characterize him throughout his life, his physical prowess will improve more and more, until it becomes his strength.
The story of Forrest has moved the world, not only for the narrative itself, but also and above all for all thematic that faces from the boy’s eyes. Next to a young Tom Hanks we also see Robin Wright in the role of Jenny, sweet half of the protagonist since childhood. The fame and the resonance of the work were so great that, in addition to winning the beauty of 6 Academy Awards, including Best Actor and Best Picture, broke all records at the US box office.

The peculiarity of all this, however, lies in the choice made by Tom Hanks regarding his personal earnings. The actor refused to receive the cachet, taking only a percentage of the earnings, which he gets to 40 million.
