Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil – How heartless can you be?! A stranger has a few weeks old kitten in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald (Baden-Wuerttemberg) “disposed of” in a stream!

As reported by the police, the crime happened on Saturday in Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil near Freiburg, probably between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The stranger put the tabby kitten, around five weeks old, in a tied plastic bag in the Krottenbach behind the fire station.
But the mini house tiger had a guardian angel: a passer-by noticed the bag in the stream because something was moving in it.
The kitten could be saved with hypothermia, then it came to an animal protection organization in Breisach and was treated by a doctor.

“The animal is doing well given the circumstances,” the officials write. And further: “The police department for trade/environment has started the investigation and points out that such behavior constitutes a criminal offense under the Animal Welfare Act.”
