How have these countries managed to manage the coronavirus crisis well (all led by women) | Univision World News

While the death rate of coronavirus in some countries it has exploded, others have managed to keep mortality numbers low, or even begin to flatten the famous contagion curve. Such is the case of Germany, New Zealand and Scandinavian countries that are doing remarkable work in the face of the pandemic.

One of the factors that some of these countries have in common is that their leaders are women who have shown effective leadership at a critical moment when government decisions can make all the difference.

An example is that of the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, which since the beginning of the crisis has alerted the population, warning of the seriousness of the approaching outbreak, even when there were no signs of spread within the European country. That, experts say, has allowed the Germans to prepare, the government to get its health system ready and to put into operation machinery to supply massive screening tests and medical supplies.

The first movement of Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand, was a clear and early communication to the population in which she detailed the stages that would follow. Ardern, without thinking about the possible political price, did not hesitate to order a lock down in the country when the cases were barely in the 200s. His measures won the support of the people and are proving effective.

While the pandemic is still ongoing, these are good examples of leadership:
