If all goes well, I still have: horse racing and yoga“so he replied Alberto Salerno the controversy that broke out, just before, following his provocative post severely criticized by the people of the web on gay people. Even his wife Mara Maionchi, well-known music producer and beloved judge of X Factor, has taken it publicly, inviting him to remove the post. Too bad that everything had already been immortalized (complete with screenshots) from the site Gay.it.
To provoke the brawl on the web a provocative post published on his Facebook page by the record producer: “But how come that on Rai Uno there are a lot of gay? Has something changed?“. A personal consideration that raised a real fuss, with a lot of apologies from the associations close to the LGBTQ community. Not only tweets and indignant comments from Internet users fueled the controversy, but also the dry response of the portal Gay.it to the words of Salerno. It was the same site that published the words written by the producer on Facebook (and the subsequent clarifications to the indignation of the followers), even after these were removed.
The worst clash however took place within the home. Shortly after writing the Facebook post, in fact, his wife Mara Maionchi hit hard against his partner, threatening to delete all his profiles: “But what the fuck are you saying, I’ll take your social media out!“. The rap public inflicted virtually by Mara Maionchi on her husband produced the inevitable apology post, received in the evening and published by Salerno on her profile (post later removed). According to what reported by Corriere della Sera, the apology replied: “In my life I got to know many gays, some very talented and intelligent, some of the real gentlemen, others less so. Our home has never closed the door on anyone. Now that I, for a stupid post, have to hear me accuse of being homophobic does not piss me off, it gives me great sorrow and for tonight I close it here“.
After the cancellation of the post, however, Alberto Salerno returned to social networks to take some pebbles from his shoe censorship receipt: “Politics: deleted topic, Non EU citizens: deleted topic, Roma: deleted topic. Gay: topic deleted. If all goes well, I still have: horse racing, the sewing and ceramics school, yoga classes, food and music. I’d opt for the last two things if it’s still allowed“.
