House prices are ignored by the corona crisis, a new record again | NOW

House prices in the Netherlands rose to record highs in July. On average, a house for sale costs just under 337,000 euros, according to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) and the Land Registry on Friday.

House prices rose 7.4 percent in July compared to the same month a year earlier. The price increase hardly differs from the months before, when the price difference always fluctuated around 7.5 percent.

The number of transactions registered by the Land Registry was almost 7 percent higher in the first seven months of this year than in the same period in 2019. Almost 130,000 houses changed hands this year.

House prices have now been in a virtually constant upward trend for over seven years. The increase from the trough in June 2013 has increased to almost 50 percent.
