Death Valley’s United States of America almost broke the record for the hottest place on Earth with a temperature of 130 degrees Fahrenheit or 54.4 degrees Celsius. Slightly more, this figure is close to the record that was set at the same location in 1913, namely 134 degrees Fahrenheit.

According to the National Park Service, as a storm moves inland from the Pacific Ocean it passes over mountains on its way east. Dense storm clouds of steam hit, rise and cool creating condensation and falling rain or snow.
