O Benfica-Sporting (3-2)game 2 of the roller hockey league playoff semi-finals, recorded several moments of enormous tension.
The first big focus started before the second red goal, from a penalty. First Ângelo Girão and Lucas Ordóñez fought for reasons, with the Benfica player going for the leonine guardian and both putting their hands to each other’s faces; later, Pedro Henriques hit Ferran Font’s neck with the stick and even tried to punch the green and white athlete. The two players, it should be noted, had already been involved in a previous move, in which Font seems to hit the eagle’s guardian’s neck with the stick during a move. The refereeing trio chose not to sanction any player in these situations. In the final seconds, a new focus of confusion. João Souto hits Ordóñez with the stick and Álvarez went to ask for satisfaction, pushing a Sporting player. In the middle of the ‘tangle’, Henrique Magalhães punched Álvarez. The result was two blue cards – for Girão and Álvarez – and one expulsion (Henrique Magalhães).
