Hospitals can quickly test for corona on a large scale Inland

They are produced by the American company Roche Diagnostics and have already arrived in the Netherlands. Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, the Gelre Hospital in Apeldoorn and the MicroVida laboratory in Roosendaal in Brabant are going to work with it.

This is confirmed by a spokesperson for Erasmus MC. “Who we test is in accordance with national policy of the RIVM.”

With this new method, 1,450 tests per day could be performed. For example, testing is much faster than now and someone knows where he or she stands within four hours. “Now that sometimes takes a day and a half,” said spokesman Jan Peter Jansen of Roche Diagnostics.
