Hospitalizations for COVID-19 increase to 121 with 19 more than yesterday

Confirmed positive cases

The total of 1,729 confirmed positive cases correspond to 862 women and 867 men.

The group of patients between 50 and 59 years continues to dominate with the highest number of infections (335), followed by 40 to 49 years (313) and 30 to 39 years (284).

The metropolitan region is the one with the most confirmed positive cases with 591. It is followed by the Mayagüez region (264) and Bayamón (249).

San Juan continues as the municipality with the most infections in this category with 307 cases, followed by Guaynabo (104), Carolina (104) and Bayamón (103). Meanwhile, the government reported that Culebra has a confirmed case, so Vieques remains the only town without infection. However, Health still does not have the municipality of 48 confirmed cases available.

Probable positive cases

The total of 5,808 probable positive cases is broken down into 3,091 that correspond to women and 2,717 to men.

In this category, the group of patients between 50 and 59 years of age also registered the highest number of likely infected with 1,121, followed by those from 40 to 49 years (986) and from 60 to 69 years (891).

The metropolitan region dominates the statistics with 1,426 likely infected, followed by the Bayamón region (1,101) and the Caguas region (839).

San Juan is the largest municipality with probable cases with 665, followed by Bayamón (322) and Carolina (235). The agency does not have available the town of 149 probable cases.
