A horse died late Sunday afternoon, after being hit by a car in Palmela, on 535 municipal road.
The rider was in serious condition and was transported to the Hospital de Santa Maria, in Lisbon.
The alert was given at 7:24 pm. On site were 10 operatives supported by four vehicles from the Palmela Fire Brigade, INEM and members of the GNR.
