Aleksander Sedyk will not have fond memories of his performance at the European Weightlifting Championships organized by the World Raw Powerlifting federation. The Russian wanted to accomplish the incredible feat of lifting a 400 kg barbell. However, as it turned out, the athlete overestimated his abilities, with tragic consequences.

From the very beginning of the test, Sedyk’s legs were shaking a lot and it was obvious that the load was too heavy for them. Nevertheless, the man tried to squat with the barbell on his shoulders. As soon as he started doing this, both his knees couldn’t hold out and … they just broke. On the recording you can hear the shocking sound of the competitor’s knees breaking.
The judge from the competition was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where he underwent a six-hour operation on both knees and the quadriceps. As he revealed himself, now he will lie down for two months and then learn to walk. Rather, he will have to give up lifting weights.
