Newest catering location in Utrecht opened

Busy days in the kitchen, new soup tasters and a fully booked hotel: the opening of Utrecht’s first soup bar Soep-er, one of the nine attractive rooms of the Petit Beijers guest house above, is a fact. On Sunday 12 July, catering entrepreneurs Janine and Tom opened their doors at Vismarkt 16-18 in Utrecht.

Janine: “We fell in love with the location and started a crowdfunding for Soep-er, where we sell soup, homemade bakery and coffee. Shortly afterwards we heard that the Logement Petit Beijers above was available for takeover. We signed at the beginning of May. And now we are open! ”

Centrally located in monumental canal houses

Soeper and Petit Beijers will become a second home for Utrecht residents and (Dutch) tourists. The Vismarkt is located on the famous Oudegracht, with the Dom Tower around the corner. Tom: “Join us on petitcation! Check-in and check-out for the rooms of Petit Beijers takes place in Soep-er, where we also serve breakfast for our guests. We are a soup bar, reception and lobby in one. In a monumental canal house. ”

Janine: “We can no longer be left behind from Soep-er’s kitchen. In addition to soup, the homemade bakery and coffee from Boot Koffie are also doing very well. With our hotel guests and with Utrechters.”

Spend the night in attractive rooms

The hotel rooms were quickly booked for the coming period. “No room in boutique hotel Petit Beijers is the same,” says Tom. “The renovation and furnishing of the building was realized by antique dealer and monument lover Bert Degenaar, known for the television program ‘Van inschatable value’.”

Bert: “It was not a difficult decision to come to business with this duo. They are so enthusiastic and ambitious; there is nothing more fun than working with such entrepreneurs! ”
