Supermarket Aldi has put the Honor 8S in the brochure. Starting next week you can purchase the smartphone for 99 euros. Is it a good choice, or should you look further?
Honor 8S at Aldi
You will regularly find smartphones on offer at the Aldi. Starting next week you can purchase the Honor 8S for an amount of 99.00 euros. This seems like an interesting deal, but is that it? The smartphone was also placed in the brochure in June last year.
What do you get for the 99 euros? The Honor 8S has a 5.71 inch HD display, a quad-core processor, 2 GB of memory and 32 GB of storage. According to the Aldi there is a Snapdragon 425 processor, according to Honor itself a MediaTek chipset. From the box the device runs on Android 9 Pie, there is a single 13 megapixel camera and you make selfies with the 5 megapixel front camera. The battery has a capacity of 3020 mAh.
Good to know
(Many) updates are not expected and the specifications are not all of this time. The memory is a bit on the lean side and the processor is not everything. The phone is also no longer sold in the Netherlands. We have a number of alternatives for you that are likely to suit you better.
