TSG 1899 Hoffenheim won the south-west duel against SC Freiburg in the women’s Bundesliga 4-2. With the win, the Hoffenheimers are almost certainly qualified for the Champions League.
The Hoffenheim scoring started in the 12th minute of the game with the second goal of the season by Fabienne Dongus. With the 1-0 lead in the back, the Kraichgauerinnen pressed on the next goal and rewarded themselves six minutes later with the 2-0 by Nicole Billa (19th minute).
The SC Freiburg players were by no means shocked, but instead always came up with good chances. SC Sand leaves the relegation ranks
SC Sand also celebrated a great victory. In the relegation crash against SV Meppen, the Black Forest women prevailed with hits from Myrthe Morrees (67th) and Molli Plasmann (86th) and thus left the relegation ranks. This means that SC Sand has one point ahead of SV Meppen before the last match day and will be able to stay up against Bayer Leverkusen on their own against Bayer Leverkusen next weekend.
