Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The scandal over the frying of shares has become the concern of many parties. The Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) is also observing this action.
However, the attention was in the form of a joke. This was conveyed by the Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners (DK) Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa in the Economic Outlook 2023 activity held by CNBC Indonesia.
He said, LPS has assets of IDR 200 trillion. “So, I’m quite rich,” said Purbaya.
Unfortunately, continued Purbaya, the use of LPS funds is regulated by law. Its use may only be assigned to state securities (SBN). However, it is these limitations that make LPS ‘safe’.
“At least there won’t be fried stock,” joked Purbaya. “The bad thing is, the funds are not optimal for building the economy,” he continued.
