Gonzalo Higuain stressed that he did not want to return to Argentina. The 32-year-old striker indicated he still wanted to stay at Juventus.
Higuain has been less shining with Juventus since being bought from Napoli in 2016. He even went on loan to AC Milan and Chelsea to get his best touch.
In the 2019/2020 season, Higuain returned to play for Juventus for one season. Instead of appearing okay, Higuain has even more difficulty scoring goals. Of the 43 matches that passed, the former Real Madrid striker only scored 11 goals.
Well, recently Juventus reportedly wanted to let go Gonzalo Higuain which leaves a one-year contract. There is River Plate who has expressed interest in bringing his past player home.
Higuain started his professional career at River Plate. He made 41 appearances in all competitions with a score of 15 goals.
“I am fine now, I will rest and think. On the 24th I returned to training and I still have one year on my contract in Italy,” Higuain told reporters. Fox Sports.
“I have to introduce myself and see what happens with the new coach. This will definitely be a different dynamic,” he continued.
“I left when I was young and today Argentina need to open their eyes, because so many players are hesitant to come back, especially for the future of their families. Many have traveled to America, China or Saudi Arabia,” Higuain stressed.
Juventus have so far been rumored to be targeting Raul Jimenez from Wolves. If the English club is willing to let go, the Bianconeri intend to swap with Gonzalo Higuain.
